✧Pink Project - My Room✧

Hello, I am back after uni finished a while ago.
so I am just going to do a quick update~
I have been quite busy with redecorating my new house, I've been helping my dad with painting and stuff.
Even though it is super hot but knowing that I painted my room by myself just feels great!

Of course my room have to pink, I brought the colour sweet pink hoping for a baby pink but it turned out a really pinkish lilac colour.
I am really happy how it turned out~❤ It is still pretty!

I am not sure when we are moving in yet, I think we are moving in at late October so I have a bit of time to think about how to put my stuff and bits and bobs.

I've been more active on my Tumblr and Twitter so feel free to follow me on there and get more updates!

❤ D.I.Y. Lolita - Alice Bow Tutorial❤ ✧Picture Heavy✧

Hello Everyone~❤
I am writing this tutorial before leaving for Italy tomorrow, this is my first time writing a tutorial so please bear with me.

First You will need:
❤ Paper to draw pattern on
❤ Fabric
❤ Lace/ Trims
❤ Pins
❤ Sewing Machine
❤ Needle for hand stitching
❤ Interlining(Optional)
❤ Iron (For Interlining)

You don't necessary need the interlining, I used the interlining to make it more stiff and a nicer finish.
When you have everything above, it is time to draw out a pattern for the bow. Draw a 24cm x 13cm rectangle for the bottom bow and 17.5cm x 12cm for the top bow.
Remember to add a 1cm seam allowance around.

When you're done, it is time to cut it out on fabric!❤

You will need 2 piece for each rectangle, so you will ended up with 4 rectangles in total.
And for the interlining, you will ONLY NEED 1 PIECE for each rectangle.

And when you've got all the stuff cut out (4 on fabric, 2 on interlining) it's time to fuse the interlining with the fabric, for those who haven't used interlining before, you will need to face the bubbly side(the glue) of the interlining on the the wrong side of the fabric and then carefully iron them together, it is a good idea to put a towel in between the iron and the interlining just in case it does melt.

When you've fused the interlining and the fabric together, you can now start sewing!!❤
Place both of the same size rectangles together(Right side facing the middle)start sewing at the middle of the longest side so it will be easier to turn the bow inside out and continue sewing all the way around the bow.
Remember to backstitch as you wouldn't want it to start breaking apart when turning the bow inside out.
Sew both of the rectangle pieces so you can turn them inside out together.

When  you are done, you should ended up having a gap like the one below.

And carefully turn the bow inside out.❤

Taa Daa, and here you have most of your bow. However because after turning and twisting it, you will ended up with a very wrinkly rectangle!
So give a press on the iron~

And the next part is where you can be creative and add your laces or trims etc.❤ I've simply attached the lace on both of the sides.

And here I have my finished bottom and top bow~

Put them aside for now and lets move on the middle part of the bow, I didn't make a pattern for the middle part as it was really simple.
Cut a fabric strip roughly 5cm x 7cm.
Fold them in half and sew 1cm on the side.

Turn the seams around to the back and flatten it.

And now my favourite part and you're nearly done!
Squash/ fold the middle of the rectangle and you will get a bow shape.

Do it to both of the bow and then put the middle strip around the middle of them and cut off any excess leaving about 1.5cm on the end.
Tuck the ends inside and you will have to hand stitch this part.

Hand stitch the middle and attach your head band!

And you're finished~
Let me know if you have any problems, suggestions and feel free to share your creations!❤
Thank you for reading, I hope you have wonderful time making the bow~

❤ Lace Hunting in Birmingham ❤

Hello Lovelies, I went to Birmingham yesterday to do some lace shopping. I haven't been to Birmingham for quite a while now, and I really needed some lace to finish a lolita alice bow I was making.
A few weeks ago, I brought these nail polish from BarryM to celebrate the finishing my projects. ❤
(Yes, I will give myself little excuses to go shopping)

The colours are super pretty and pastel ❤ , they also dried so much quicker then I expected, I used the silky pink and mint as the base and then used a lilac polish also from BarryM for the dripping syrup. At first I thought of being adventurous and also do little sprinkles on it, but unfortunately I didn't have enough time.

Anyway, back to my trip to Birmingham, I got to Birmingham quite late as I was having lunch and was also shopping around Bullring. I finally went to the Rag Market to find some of the lace after walking around Bullring, The Rag market is such a nice place to get some lace, although there are lace that are really bad quality so you have to be really careful, there are also a lot of materials that could be used for lolita like ribbon.

The next bit I went to was a little shop not too far from the market called Fancy Silk Store, they have lots of fabrics and materials that are perfect for lolita. But since I still have lots of fabric that I haven't used over the years, I didn't get any fabric. But it is still a really good place to take a look at all of the fabric, the thing I love about them is that they have a little basket at the back of the store that have lots of fabric samples that students can take. For poor students like me, 5 samples is all I need and happy accept for free!

Even though it doesn't look big from the outside ,there are actually 3 floors full of fabrics~ Just look at all of the fabrics❤

After shopping for all the lace I wanted, I went back to Bullring and shop a little more before heading back to the China Town to get some cute snacks and Pockys.

Bags of laces I brought from the Rag Market~ ❤

These two are my favourite lace I found from the Rag Market, they are 1 for 3 metres, the swan lace is perfect for a swan printed fabric~❤

I also found this amazing fabric in the Rag Market and although I still have lots of fabric at home, I just couldn't resist this holographic foil. I have so much things I want to make with it, a skater skirt, bows or even a dress? ❤ I am so happy that I found it, I've always wanted some holographic garments~

And here are some of the snacks I brought from China Town~
Banana Flavoured Pockys... Milk Flavoured Pockys... Almond Pockys....❤
And that is the end of my trip to Birmingham~

I've also finished the lolita bow I was making, would anyone like a tutorial on how to make a lolita alice bow?
Comment below if you would like it, I am more then happy to do a tutorial for it!

❤ Modelling for a friend - Why does he love someone else.... ❤

"Why does he love someone else,
Why does he look straight into my eyes,
Why does he look at me but not talk"

That was the poem my friend chose for one of her projects, she was going to make a little diary of the all the scenes from the poem.
She asked me to be the model and to be part of her project wearing lolita~ I have never took a proper lolita photoshoot outdoor before and this time I had to be sad and heartbroken which is really challenging as I am always smiling and happy when I am being photographed however I am really excited to be in lolita and really looked forward helping my friend out and being in the photoshoot.
We decided to do the photoshoot outdoor and when I got to our reception Yuki's friends has gathered there to help out with the photoshoot already.
So we started immediately with no time to waste since I nipped out from my lesson to do the photoshoot~
All the photos were taken by Gary Ezeugo and all the photos belong to Nakashima Ren(Yuki)...

❤ " Why does he love someone else " ❤

❤ " Why does he look straight into my eyes " ❤

❤ " Why does he look at me but not talk " ❤

I was really happy with how the photos turned out as I was really nervous and had no confident at all being a model and knowing that it is for someone eles's project and that they are being marked on.
And here are a few photos from behind the scene, it was really windy and luckily my petticoat was puffy enough to survive the wind... ❤

Unfortunatly, I haven't been able to work and design for Princess Lace due to personal problems. Therefore, sadly I have now closed down Princess Lace and will keep working toward my dreams in having my own brand.
Thank You for all the support❤
